The Help Center is a public, fast, search-optimized site for your articles. Its key property: every published article also feeds the chatbot's knowledge. Write an answer once and it works in two places — your docs and your assistant stay in sync by construction.
Manage it under Knowledge → Help Center. Available on every plan.
How do I turn it on?
- Go to Knowledge → Help Center and open the settings at the top.
- Tick Public help center enabled.
- Set your URL slug (
acme-support) and Title (Acme Help Center). - Save. The panel shows the live URL and a View live ↗ link.
How do I write an article?
New article, then:
- Title — phrase it as the question people ask: "How do I reset my password?"
- Slug — auto-generated from the title; edit it if you need to.
- Meta description — a one-sentence summary for search results. Left blank, we use the first lines of the article.
- Collection — which section of your Help Center it belongs to.
- Body (Markdown) — with a live preview.
Then Publish. Edits to a published article go live and update the chatbot on save. A draft stays private until you publish it.
How should I write the body?
Lead with a direct answer, then add detail. And use ## question?
headings — question-phrased H2s are picked up as FAQ structured data on the
published page, which is what gets you pulled into search results and AI answers.
Yes — you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment.
## How do I cancel?
1. Open the confirmation email…
## What if I'm within 24 hours?
The full method is in Writing for AI search (GEO/AEO), and it's worth reading before you write ten articles the long way.
What are collections?
Groups of related articles, which become the sections on your public help center, in the order you set. Click Collections to create and reorder them, then assign an article to one from the article editor. Deleting a collection doesn't delete its articles — they become uncategorized.
What should my first articles be?
Don't guess. Analytics → Answer gaps is a list of questions your assistant couldn't answer, taken from real conversations, with a Draft article button that writes a first draft for you. Every one of those is an article that pays for itself twice: it deflects the next visitor and it fills a hole in your chatbot's knowledge. See Answer gaps and AI corrections.
Does deleting an article affect the chatbot?
Yes — deleting an article also removes it from the chatbot's knowledge. That's the same coupling working in the other direction, and the confirmation dialog says so.
