Operators, roles and workspaces

Updated October 30, 2026

Settings → Operators is your team.

How do I add someone?

Add Operator, then enter their email, name, a password, and a role. Set their Max Concurrent Chats to override the workspace default.

If the email already has an account, the dialog tells you: "… already has an account. They'll be added to this workspace and keep their existing password." They're added as a member — they don't create a second account, and they keep the credentials they already use.

What's the difference between the roles?

  • Operator — handles chats. Console access.
  • Manager — full control of the workspace, including settings, knowledge, billing, and the team.

How many operators can I have?

By plan: 1 on Free, 3 on Basic, 10 on Pro. Current usage is shown in Billing.

How do I remove someone?

Deactivate them. They stop being an active operator and stop counting against your seat limit. Do this the same day someone leaves — and if they had a phone paired, remove the device too, under Settings → Devices.

Can one person work in several workspaces?

Yes. A person has one identity and can be a member of many workspaces, with a different role in each. They sign in once and use the workspace switcher in the top bar to move between them.

Nothing is shared across workspaces: separate knowledge, conversations, leads, settings, and billing. And a paired phone follows the person — one device covers every workspace they belong to, and push notifications follow them wherever they are.

What if I manage sites for clients?

That's the Agency program: client sites as subaccounts under one consolidated subscription, with your own branding across their widgets, dashboards, and emails.
