Appointment booking from chat

Updated October 28, 2026

Paid feature — booking fires on Basic and Pro.

The assistant can read your calendar, offer genuinely open times, and book the appointment inside the chat — no "someone will call you to schedule" round trip.

Set it up under Settings → Integrations → Appointment Booking.

How do I set it up?

  1. Choose your calendar provider: Google Calendar or Outlook / Microsoft 365.
  2. Connect the account.
  3. Set the Calendar ID and Timezone.
  4. Define the shape of a booking:
    • Appointment length (minutes)
    • Buffer between appointments (minutes)
    • Min notice (hours) — how soon someone may book
    • Book up to (days ahead) — how far out the window runs
    • Event title and Location / note (an address, a phone number, or a video link)
  5. Set your business hours — bookable times per day.
  6. Tick Enable booking in chat and save.

How do I know it actually works?

Click Test connection. It reports the calendar it reached and how many open slots exist in your booking window right now:

Reached calendar "team@acme.com" — 14 open slots in your booking window.

Zero slots is the answer to look for. It means visitors are being offered nothing, and it's nearly always min-notice or business hours set tighter than you meant.

Why is the assistant offering no times?

In order of likelihood:

  • Min notice too long — 48 hours' notice on a calendar with a busy week means nothing is bookable.
  • Business hours too narrow, or the day set to Closed.
  • The calendar is genuinely full in the window.
  • Wrong calendar ID — Test connection will show you which calendar it reached.

Do I have to use the built-in booking?

No. If you have a booking page you'd rather send people to, use a engagement campaign with an Open a link chip, or — in the Provider Directory — give each provider a Booking URL, which takes precedence over native booking for that person.
